I touch going nuts

i spilled ice tea on it it still works but it keeps going to the lock position and the volume keeps going all the way up by itself

For future reference, you should immediately turn off any electronics which have liquid damage, and not turn them on again or operate them until they are completely dry, as doing so risks further damaging or destroying the device, as well as electrocution if it was a larger device with exposed connections.

Open up your iPod Touch using this guide.

Once you're at a step where you can see the logic board, you should use some strong isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush to remove any white-ish residue you see. Let the device dry <thoroughly> to make sure all liquid is gone (this will likely take a day or two in a warm, dry place if the device is opened up. Putting the iPod in a bag of rice can also be useful at this point.) When it is dry, put it back together, and you will have your best chance of it working properly again. If it is not working properly after all this, come back and describe the symptoms it is having then.
