Swap hard drive in different MacBook Pro models?

Hello,

does anyone know if it’s possible to swap a hard drive from a Macbook Pro 15" Unibody (late 2009) model and put it into a Macbook Pro 13" Unibody (early 2010) in order to boot from it and secure data? The normal hard drive would go back into the 13" after the procedure. Or will there be problems because OSX would have been installed on a different model?

Long story short: Macbook 15" took a beer bath, won’t start, the hard drive was not damaged and it was unfortunately 2 weeks since the last backup. I’d like to get at the data that accumulated in those two weeks.

Thanks in advance for any answers!
