How do I disable the trackpad?

I'm looking to disable the trackpad on my laptop and can't figure out how to do it. Anyone know how?

Options

For most ASUS laptops, hold the "fn" button then press the "f9" button.

If the "f9" button did not disable the trackpad, then resort to disabling it through device manger under system.
