The laptop won't turn on and plugging the charger won't light up.

Just out of nowhere, today my laptop just won't turn on?

It was functioning last night.

This laptop does not have a removable battery that you can just instantly remove so I don't know and want to risk it.

Also when plugging the charger in, the little LED light doesn't switch on?

Any ideas?

I've also had it for about 6 months

Asus TP500L

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi,

Can you test to see if the charger is working? If charger works, check your warranty details and arrange for laptop repair under warranty. If not, see if you can "borrow" an appropriate charger (make sure it is the correct one for your laptop (19v 3.42A 65W, details are on charger) and see if your laptop works. Still check you warranty as charger should also be covered.

Hi. i have the same model and it just happen to me a couple of days ago. i have read that you need to unscrew the case and unplugged the battery (no need to unscrew the battery, just unplugged the connector) and press the power button for about 30 second(to remove the current residue on the board), and then plugged the battery and screw the case back. now when you plug your charger, the indicator light will turn on again and you can turn on the laptop again. It works for me.

Since TP500L have a built in battery, this procedure involving unscrewing your laptop. This might avoid your warranty. so please reconsider this because i will not guarantee this method will fix it. because there might be different reason for this problem (charger problem, board problem, etc.) . But i have found other asus users who have the same problems and many solve it using this method. it has something to do with polyfuse or something.

I'm going to keep it simple and sweet, it may have to do with the power supply. If you have a way in testing that do so, otherwise the battery may be shot.
