I need to extract data from hard drive of my dead mac

My macbook white 2008 is dead but hard drive is working i am aware

I was told to use enclosure and it would make my mac hardrive as an external hard disc to be used

Kindly suggest me what to do

Which enclosure should i buy since there are so many on ebay

I am not aware of configuration

Is my hard drive 2.5mm sata ? Or something else

Just about any SATA enclosure or a universal adapter will work.
