Charging port will not charge, Want to only replace port.

I need to replace my charging port, I screwed it up pretty badly. The only problem is that my broken touch screen is in the way. I don't care about the screen that much but if I use the suction cup I think it will shatter and I don't want to replace it for 80$. Can i only replace the glass and keep the LCD? If so how? I am trying to repair on a budget. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Luke Johnston, there is no cheap why to go. You will need an LCD separator as well as proper adhesive to fuse the glass/LCD. If you do not have the tools, they will cost you more than 2 new display assemblies. If you have the tools but have never done it, your success rate will be low, You may end up paying twice as much. I suggest to replace the complete assembly. It will be less expensive in the long run and you are almost guaranteed to get it working right the first time.
