i was in class and i had just checked my phone, i put it down to take a quiz and about 30 minutes after i picked it up and the screen was black. Everything is working light the buttons light up and i can feel it vibrate. its just that the screen is black. is the LCD. or do i just need to get a new phone?

Would first try removing the battery and then put back in. I know this is the old turn off then on again, but it works a lot.

Chances are that the screen is damaged or flex is disconnected or damaged the worst cases , it is best if you don't have knowledge of repair take it to a technical center for verification !
