Home button don't work

So I replaced my screen and something went wrong with the home button it still clicked but the touch id did not work so I tried restoring phone which bricked my phone with error 53. Well i found out the flex cable was broke from the metal heat shield thing so i bought a replacement well i restored it and it actually restored but now the home button does not work at all it won't click or touch id won't work however it will still restore fine. I don't know what to do.

are you still using the original home buttom? you might have to change the whole piece now!

I am still using the original home button and it worked before changing the flex cable it just lost touch id now it just don't work at all but the phone thinks that touch id will work like it will let me try to do it it won't say touch id failed like it use to its just when it tells me to put my finger on the scanner it don't function and when i click it it won't work
