MBP does not start up after battery went to 0%

MBP battery ran down this afternoon (powered down). I plugged it in to charge. The MagSafe light shows green, but it will not start up. No chime. I have completed the rest SMC (no effect). Machine is under warranty. Just take it to Genius Bar?

I see no cheaper solution here. Until you know what the problem is.

Ask them for an estimate then tell us what they say. You could have either a bad battery or a logic board problem.

According to the serial #, the MBP is still under warranty and my firm also purchased the Apple Care package. We will see what they say. Thank you for the response.
