I can hear from speaker and earbud, but nothing from earpiece..

So, the problem is as I mentioned above, I simply can't hear anything from earpiece receiver, I can only make calls using earphones or the speaker phone.

Anybody have ideas about this?

What exactly did you connect? I just received my iPhone from the store and the earpiece receiver is working badly. Any advice what cable to check?

by

the 1st u should check is connection between earpiece with logicboard.. That's the part that make my earpice not workin...

by

I've disassemble the phone, removed the logic board and found the speaker connectors (those two small metal things). Should they be soldered to the board? Or are they connecting by touching the board? Maybe you have a picture?

by

noo, don't solder it, they only need to connect properly to the board..., my problem happen because one of this pin is not touch the board....

by

Can you please specify what exactly did you do to the earpiece pins to make them touch the board?

I already found out that the earpiece works good but my problem is exactly the same as you had. I believe that my problem is in the left contact of the earpiece (left if you look on the disassembled iphone). So how should I bend it or what else did you do?

While normally I would encourage self-repair, in this case I would suggest that if the iPhone is still under warranty (and it should be, barring any water damage), you're probably best off not voiding your warranty by opening up the device just yet. If your device stopped working shortly after receiving it, your best bet is to ask Apple to replace the faulty part - you should not be responsible for fixing it.

I had the same problem, and tried a bunch of procedures suggested over ne internet, such as keep pluging and unpluging the earphone, cleaning the earphone hole, etc.

What I did, and worked was go to settings, sounds, and then enable or disable some settings (like tones on keypad or blocking, etc.), then I got back to the original setting, and everything was working fine.

If you are using car kit, get someone to call you while in car, on iphone display select iphone instead of car kit, this will cure problem as it thinks it is still on car speakers. Found this solution and it DOES work.
