Is it worth to repair?

Hi, i'm about to buy a 100$ MBP. Now the problem is that some water (rain) drop on it and now it won't turn on. Only the green charging light is working when connected to Magsafe.

Now, is it worth? Right now i do not have it already, and the owner has to ship it to me so i cannot see inside and either him because he didnd't opened it yet.

Even considering spare parts only, can i get back all my investment?

If it's just a little bit of water it probably only shorted out the keyboard and that can be replaced. If he;s fudging and it was much more and it got to the logic board, it's a money pit. Check his reputation before buying.

He put a message on a site like craigslist. After some email and a phone call now i'm deciding what to do. He really doesn't know, the only thing he told me was that he tried to fired it up but it won't turn on and because it was wet he called it broken. He needs to sell because he needs money. I don't know more.

So, possible spot to check, the keyboard, logic board, ram maybe?

Moreover, i had some previous experience on a 17" MBP from 2007 and was so different from this. Keyboard for example, in this unibody i'll have to dismount. The same goes with power button i think.

Sorry for the dumb question, but how waterproof are those notebook? In theory, if some water went inside the keyboard it should stop there right? I mean, some rain is not like soaking into water..
