water damage, replaced battery, will not charge

My iphone 3g fell in the pool, I dried the phone with hair dryer on cold setting and placed it in a bag of rice for 3 days.

After that I turned it on and it worked fine. But it would not charge anymore. I replaced the battery and it seem to working but I when I tried to charge the phone nothing happen.

I replaced the dock-connector but still not working.

I have the same problem. Battery life was poor so replaced the battery. New battery worked fine but found after it was left charging that it stayed at 12% without improving. Did you ever get a solution to this problem

check the battery contacts for residue. but it's more likely the dock connector/ribbon 4. clean/reseat or replace
