Is my HTC one m8 meant to play music through both the top and bottom speakers or just the one? It's only playing through the bottom

There is a hardware test you can do on the phone to check how everything is functioning including the speakers.
Just enter this into the telephone keypad on the phone *#*#3424 #*#*

Phone barely passed those tests and front camera is purple and blurry thanks for your help I'll be sending this back..
