I damaged the ribbon cable to the keyboard

I broke the keyboard ribbon cable! Is there a way to replace the cable or do I have to change the whole keyboard?

Please supply us the last four digits of your serial number so we can correctly identify your system.

It's a MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Late 2008. But if you need the serial I'll tell you when I go home.

Did you damage the cable going to the logic board?

Sadly, Apple doesn't offer the cable alone for this model you would need to replace the entire uppercase - Ouch!

See if you can find a junker to steal the cable from.

but even if I found a junkie, I don't think I'll be able to unmount the cable and mount it on my keyboard instead... so I'll change the keyboard
