Screen boots to black after touch screen replacement

After replaceing the touch screen, the ipad mini booted up normally but the touch screen didnt work at all. After replacing the touch screen again, the ipad mini only boots up to a very dark screen starting with the apple logo and then displaying 5:01 Wednesday December 31st.

I have read on this forum that you must be very careful when disconnecting lcd, and battery and making sure of the proper order. I have done this several times and still get the black screen.

Looking close at the board it seems the connection is damaged to the touch screen. Two gold teeth seem to be damaged. Is this repairable?

The FPC for the digitizer is damaged and is fixable by someone that does micro soldering. That connector being damaged does not have anything to do with the LCD being black though, this issue could be a damaged LCD or a blown backlight fuse on the logic board which is common on the iPad mini and would also have to be repaired by a professional micro solderer. I would recommend contacting a company like GadgetDrop, he specializes in these type of repairs and is one of the best in the industry.
