Why does my power button not work

had to do some general repairs inside (was replacing misplaced screws from a lazy repairman from an iPhone 4s I was given), and now my power button doesn't work. I have tried to redo it and the problem is persisting.

the cable seems good, and the logic-board also seems good.

I have no idea how to fix it. Please help me!

Sounds like.. You need to replace the cable and button, not the metal button on the top. The actual button, connected to the ribbon cable. It's pretty much the most difficult job, of taking apart and putting back totether, for that phone

Why do you think so?

And isn't that link for the button only? Do i need to replace;

Because your button isn't working. Yes, that's the cable you need to replace. There really isn't any other explanation for it

is this a common problem? i was very careful when doing the repair and am surprised this suddenly doesn't work anymore.
