for F9800, Is it 2A 32V 0402 or 3A 32V 0603?

Which is the correct component for F9800 fuse in... ( details are below )

Apple Logic Board: 661-5203

Device: MacBook Pro 17" Unibody Mid 2009

Model: A1297, 820-2610

Serial Number: W******V8YA

Is it "2Amp 32V SMD 0402 Package" or

the "3Amp 32V SMD 0603 Package" ?

because these pages got me little confused with F9800 & F9700 on the logic board.

Change F9800 fuse 820-2915-B

Location of backlight fuse on Logic Borard?

but by the fuse dimensions, 3Amp 32V SMD 0603 package determined as the correct fuse...

Just want to double check !

Kenneth, "because these pages got me little confused with F9800 & F9700 on the logic board." its because you are looking at different boards and different models :-)

Kenneth, here is the location of the fuse. It is a 3Amp 32V in a 603 package. Please remember that this is only to identify the fuse. If the fuse is blown, you will definitely have to check on the reasons why it blew. It's a pretty big fuse and it takes quite a bit to blow it. So check your LCD connector and other components for a short circuit.

This backlight of the LCD monitor has been on and off for last 2 month.

so, I was using my MBP with an external monitor, but in some cases... it becomes a primary monitor...

however... eventually last week, backlight went out!

so, for me... it is an abstruse to conjecture that which component caused the short circuit.

reluctantly, at this point... I would like to put one more chance to my MBP.
