2 New battery - mac won't boot
My battery came to an end after 5 years almost so I bought a new one on ebay from a good seller. I've put it on charge and it charged fine after an hour perhaps. And when I tried booting it, the mac doesn't respond.
When I touch the button on the side all green lights apear, so the battery is ok I guess.
I tried resetting the SMC, didn't work eitheri tried ctrl command and power button, didn't work either.
Anyone have any idea what can I do?

Nothing, just the light on the side of the macbook (the battery green lights apear when i press that side button).

Disconnect the battery and then see if the AC adapter is able to startup your system alone.

I'm having the exact same problem... 2010 MacBook Pro, bought a battery on ebay. Used to work fine with just the magsafe adapter without the battery. Hooked up the new battery, turned on fine at first. Switched it off to charge, came back and now it won't start at all, not even with the battery hooked off! Starting to worry that the battery fried the logic board...
UPDATE:
I can't believe it but I managed to get my MacBook running again. The problem was the battery level indicator LED on the side. I unhooked it and after that the MacBook started working again! It somehow caused short circuit for whatever reason. Not sure if this will solve your problem but you can at least try!

I removed the battery and put it on the adapter but it won't boot.
I've put the battery back in and upluged the battery indicator,it won't boot either.
I think it's time for a repair again...
