when can you tell if your iPod is charged
How can you charge your IPod?. Plugged in, how do you know its charging. nothing is happening when plugged into computer.

Is your display working? There is a battery icon in the top right corner. It displays the battery charge level when not plugged in, and should change to show it's charging when plugged in. I would try a different USB port on computer, and/or try the "5 R's" http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_r... if it is not charging.
