What is the part # for the IC chip on the a1370?

I have identified the IC chip on my motherboard and I would like to replace it. When I try to purchase it I found that the LP8550 chip has several versions. Which one is the right for this model? Does anyone know? or are all LP8550 the same?

Geekygirl, what is the 820-XXXX on yuor logic board? Post some images of where the IC is located on your board. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that

thanks oldturkey03 ;) the mobo # is 820-2855-A

Why do you want to replace it? Every time the manufacturer makes a new batch of chips even though its the same they change some of the numbers at the end.

Thanks John. I mac has no power, and I want to try replacing this chip.

I try to buy it from digikey, but there is more than one. http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en...

Geekygirl, check the datasheet right here. Looks like straight LP8550 should work
