My iMac wont start.

Hi

My old iMac G5 will not start up. I get the white apple startup screen when I turn it on, the black lines circulate at the bottom and then the screen goes blue - but then, OSX and the finder will not appear. The screen stays blue.

Any ideas or help would be gratefully received.

Start up using your system installation disk, insert disk and restart holding down the "C" key. Go to the second screen pull down menu and go to Utilities - disk utility and repair the hard drive.
