S3 Sound only coming out of one earbud

The sound from my Samsung Galaxy S3 is only coming out of the right earbud of my Sennheiser CX870s. Initially I thought it would be the headphones so I tried my Grado SR125s from my computer but had the same issue, I then tried the Sennheiser's on my computer and they worked fine. Next culprit was the headphone jack of the phone so just today I replaced the headphone/speaker assembly with a piece from this site expecting that this would fix the problem. Sadly not, the sound still only comes out of one side with both pairs of headphones. As far as I'm aware it's not a software issue unless it's something I'm missing, I use Poweramp app for playing music on my phone but the issue still persists when using other apps, Youtube etc. I have checked the phone settings and they are not set to mono audio and the sound balance is set to middle not left or right.

Is there anything else I can try or anything I'm missing?

Thanks in advance.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi have you tried taking to a phone shop coz I had that problem with my old phone HTC one x and found out I was missing and eliment in my head phone connection. You may not be able to see it but I'm sure they will fix it if its doing it to all your ear phobes.

Well as I've already replaced the part that has the headphone jack in it, I don't think this would be the case, unless it has something to do with the audio chipset itself
