Unresponsive and Busted Touch Screen on Phone
So real quick describing what happened... Out of rage I threw my Samsung Galaxy S3 down at my bedroom carpet floor. (Side note: I have an OtterBox on at this point on my phone) Picking my phone up I find that the upper left corner of the screen (about 1/4 of the screen) was black, with the rest of the screen discolored. Thinking to myself joy I busted another screen... Turns out the glass screen isn't busted, it's the screen underneath appears busted. On top of this the screen is completely unresponsive.
So the real question, what's wrong with my phone and what can I do? I've done tons of research as it is and can't find anything this specific. At this point my screen is completely black and the touchscreen is completely unresponsive. The external buttons "seem" to work. (Power buttons works as intended, as does the home button) However the volume button seems to be a hit and miss? I think it may just be because the phone only boots up to the home screen.
Capping this nightmare of an issue off: Screen is black at this point, unresponsive, glass is perfectly fine, but underneath is a minor spiderweb. Phone seems to boot up just fine.
Is this a good question?
