Can I install a A1342 logic board in my A1181?

My friends A1342 is completely broken and rather than scrap it would it be possible to install his logic board in my A1181?

His screen and case is smashed but the board seems fine - no damage.

My logic board has a fault which means I can only use it when its connected to the mains.

Unfortunately, a logic board from a MacBook A1342 is not compatible with a MacBook A1181.
