My iPhone will not charge after I replaced battery

I have changed the battery of my iphone 5. The display shows that the telephone is charging, but the percentage goes down. The rest of the telephone works fine.

Do anybody know what is wrong and is it possible to fix?

Answer this question I have this problem too

msundelius, this could be caused by a bad battery as well as a failed power management IC. Replace the new battery with the old one and see if that makes a difference. If so, replace the battery again with another new one. If it does not change you will need to consider some boardlevel repair to replace the U2 IC. If you do a search for "fake charging" you will find that a jumper on Q2 is a common solution for no charging/fake charging the iPhone 5. Definitely not perfect but an option.
