iPhone 6 home button not working after screen replacement?

i replaced my iphone 6 screen and everything else works except for the home button. I thought I might have damaged the long home button flex cable the one that goes from top to bottom and so I replaced it with a new one and the home button is still not working. Did I destroy the home button? or is there any fixes?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

If you damaged the home button itself, no theres not a good fix for that other than put the cracked screen back on it, make it look like you weren't ever in it and go pay the apple store to replace the display. They replace the home button at the same time so it'd have you covered, and they are the only ones that can program a home button to an iphone on the 5s and 6 series phones. I believe the cost of an iphone 6 display replacement in an apple store is $110 plus the pain in the rear that an apple store is... make an appointment and don't be late.
