My laptop randomly decided to shut down without warning and now I can't get it to switch on and neither or the lights for the power or charging sign are working at the bottom, can't get to battery as it's screwed underneath

What model of Laptop is it?
Can you get some Information from the eventlog.
You can find it under administativ Tools/Event Viewer.

It's the X553MA, Im not sure how to do that but i can't get into my laptop at all as its like its just completely shut down ,

i found this Video.
It is for the X551 but it shoud be similar to your maschine
Get the Battery out of the laptop and try turne it on with just the power cord.
You can see if the Battery is death or also the Power.
Maybe you got access to another AC Adapter for your Laptop. If yes try that one.
otherwise whe have to go throu the whole Systemboard to check where the Problem is.
