Not running somtimes, Have to do a reset other times.

Hello,

If I send you my 30GB Special Edition I-Pod. Can your shop perform all repairs?

What do you think might be the trouble based on the above symptoms? Also, would it be a good idea to replace the battery when this service is being performed? Can you tell me does the color screen have a life expectancy?

Thank You,

Welcome to iFixit! We are a repair website which hosts thousands for free repair guides, and we sell the parts and tools necessary to do those repairs in the comfort of your own home. We do not, however, do any in-house repairs.

As for your iPod, it sounds like there could be one f three things at fault here. It is probably either the battery, logic board, or hard drive cable. To narrow that down, what do you mean by not running? Does it try to start and fail or does it not light up at all. Was there anything that caused the problem (liquid damage, a fall etc)?
