Touch screen unresponsive when touched but 100% visible

I replaced the screen on my gold 6 plus, I decided to put a black screen on Iit and everything went well until I turned the phone on and the screen was unresponsive to touch. Before complete installation I did test the screen and it worked . The screen has light lines running down the screen please help

Does the home button work?

I didn't attach the home button backing plate yet because I have a stripped screw and ordered a new plate, but the touch id was still funtioning

I would take the phone apart again and get it to were it worked before then re assemble slowly and with care checking when possible if it works to know when things go wrong.

Sounds like the digitizer flex cable or socket on the board may be damaged. I would inspect those areas under a microscope.

Could also be a short , did you put all the insulating tape back on?

Your digitizer flex isnt properly plugged in most likely.

Touch input all jacked up after multiple screen replacement attempts
