Options

Lens error when I power up

I have replaced the lens and LCD but still get a lens error

I power up and the lens goes fulling out then comes in have way and the lens error prompt come on the LCD and the camera shuts down

Should I check the cable ribbons for the 4 th time?

Can the mother board do this?

Options

pstephenson, yes it is possible that you are having circuitry issues. Check the connector for any broken, bend or corroded pins. Check the components on the board. You also want to make sure that you use a trusted source for your replacement parts. If everything looks okay on the circuit board, contact the vendor of the lens and have it replaced just to rule out a bad part.
