Why did my screen resolution screwed up after a display change?

After my screen got changed in a repair store, the optimal retina resolution is the only one that works on the scales panel. I tried all the solutions, and I say ALL. I went to an Apple Store, we tried everything that was possible to fix this problem, even booting with a clean OS, but nothing worked.

So the problem is : the only resolution that works is the retina 1440x900, and the others are pixelised.

Do you have any idea ?

By the way, it's an LG display, and I think the old one was also and LG because I had the ghosting problem.

Update (10/30/2015)

If anyone has an idea related to that topic (I tried the whole process but didn't work) http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2...

I haven't found the EDID issue this person writes about as the issue with the internal display. I have seen this as an issue in some external DisplayPort displays. Most of the time cleaning the contacts or replacing the cable appear to resolve the problem. In some cases it was clear the issue was the display not the system.

If the display is different at all it will require different drivers. Macs unlike PC's don't have a devise manager but you should check to see if you need a different driver for a different display.

Thank you for your quick answer jim! Unfortunately I already searched for the driver but it seems that my problem is so rare that I can't find anything.

The drivers are part of the OS services. In this case it's just the wrong display unit for this system.

Sounds like they put in the wrong display assembly. I would go back to the person who repaired your system to get your money back or get the display replaced once again.

There are a few different display assemblies now for the retina series systems and many are not interchangeable! It all relates to the graphics system the system has.

Thanks for your answer ! Unfortunately I already went back to them once and they said there was nothing wrong about the display, plus it's an LG. I'll try again !
