had to change hard-drive, but what do i do before installing os-x?

Why did you have to change the hard drive, exactly? Without this information changing the hard drive may do you no good because the problem may not be with the hard drive. And I suspect it isn't.

Is it asking for the EFI firmware password ...is that the real question?
