I smashed my iPod in a car door! Any suggestions?

Ok, so here's the deal. I smashed my ipod in the door of my truck. The whole thing was bent in half because of this. Luckily, it still plays, and I got it bent back straight again. The problem is the screen. There are no cracks or anything, its just the pixel? i think its called...Anyways, simply, I can't see anything. So my main question is, what should i do? Would buying a new screen fix it? its confusing to me because the screen isn't scratched or cracked at all...Anyways I hope someone has an idea, if you do respond I really appreciate it so thank you in advance

Hi Courtney, that sure is an unfortunate accident!

If the entire iPod chassis was bent i would imagine that the ribbon cable for the screen has been forced out (the connection for the LCD screen into the device itself).

My best opinion would be to (if you feel comfortable) follow a screen replacement guide on here (depending on your Nano's version):

iPod Nano

Find your version, click it and then click display.

You will then be able to check whether the screen is still in tact or if it's just that the ribbon cable has come out as i suggested.

If not then i would take it to a repair shop and they will do all the work for you.
