Touch Id not working after screen rpelacement

I recently had my iphone 6 screen replaced. Now the touch id does not work, I do not get the error 53 or anything, but when I go to program my fingerprint it does not do anything. Also the double tap on the home button to pull the screen down halfway does not work either. I have read mixed things online, so my question is:

If you do a screen replacement will touch id work if everything is installed correctly?

or

will touch id only work with the original screen that came on the phone?

Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

Sometimes damage happens to the home flex during repair. It happens every once in awhile. I attached the part, I would try replacing it!

if you do a screen replacement correctly without flaws theres always about a 1% chance that it will not work we do hundreds of iphones at our store and its just an inevitable thing.

Hi, I have the same problem except that the double tap that pulls down the screen works but when I go in settings to set up the finger ID, it just fail. Is this a software issue or hardware?
