A crack in between the keyboard body and bottom unit?

Before I start, I received a comment earlier that called me anal retentive. I struggle with OCD and i'm looking for reassurance. Thank you.

If you look at the side with the little LED light and black sensor, you can see a little space, a little line in between the keyboard and the bottom unit itself. The other edges don't budge when I push down on them. But, the right edge, with the LED light and sensor gives way just a tiny bit.

Is this normal. Is there more space on a certain side of your mac? Is this so you can open it when you unscrew the screws? I'm trying to make sure this isn't affecting the stability of my screen. Would the little crack affect how sturdy my screen is?

Just trying to figure out why there is more space on this side than the other?

Also, i'm not talking about the obvious space that is supposed to be between the lid and the bottom part of the computer. i'm talking about the little crack in between the keyboard and the bottom of the unit.

Don't worry about it. I've worked on hundreds of these. The top case cracks. The reason it cracks is due to the powerful magnets in the screen and how brittle the top case is. They eventually all crack like what you're seeing but you won't have any functional problems. Let me know if you need anything else. I just put one of those back together today that is cracked in the same spot.

So, you're saying that the crack I circled in red will have no effect on the stability/durability of my screen? That the screen is completely separate from the keyboard body of the laptop?

its not cracked, but rather the case is rising up on that edge. i've tried screwing it back in, but that side still rises. everything should be okay though?

@aaman - Plastic flexes and when molded with large parts tend to warp as it cools. So what you are seeing here is the flexing of the shell. A solid metal body would be much more rigid. Even still, I've see metal Uni body's bent when sat on! Basically, your system is AOK!
