Replacement screen missing conductive tape

I am replacing a cracked screen on an iPad air. The original screen has a piece of black conductive tape connecting the home button with a ribbon on the digitiser. You can see thisbon the image, its to the left of the home button.

The replacement just has bare connections. Does the replacement need this tape?

There is also a piece of conductive ribbon attached to the either the WiFi or LTE that connects to this conductive tape.

Thanks

You dont need it, but I definitely recommend using Kapton or Electrical tape in the exact same area covering that portion on the bottom of the screen
