How can I backup my Kindle ebooks to my Mac?

I am looking for an app that will allow me to save/backup/read my iPhone Kindle e-books to my Mac... There MUST be a genius out there somewhere who has solved this!? Is there a MAC app that will do it?

Amazon has stated that they will soon be releasing a kindle app for mac. However, all your kindle books are safely stored on Amazon's servers, so you can easily recover them if need be.

This is very old but I'll just update to link to the Mac software:

I used an safe third-party app to do this. Syncios iOS Manager for Mac can easily transfer kindle books from iPhone to Mac so that you can enjoy them on your Mac freely.

Anyway, It works great for me, hope it can also help you.
