My iPod doesn't recharge anymore unless I twist plug in the dock

I used to wear it at the gym in an armband especially designed for that. I don't know if it has been broken by sweat of arms flexions. When the problem started, I used to leave it upside down on the counter, and it was ok the day after, but not anymore today.

Steve Bergeron, if a new cable won't work, you most likely have a bad lightning connector. PITA on this model. Take a look at this guide step 24 and the next few, to see how to get at it.
