System keeps turning off

My hard drive crashed and at the same time it had a kernal panic (screen went blue) following which it would not boot up

I exchanged the hard drive for a 2Tb and following the replacement the system began to boot but then turned off, this happened each time I tried

I thought it must be the Power Supply but someone has told me that its the Graphics chip or video thats causing the problem

Can anyone shed some light on what would cause the problem I am expeencing

I had an issue like this a few months ago. The ram sticks were bad. I must have damaged them somehow and that sucks because they were an expensive 32gb upgrade. Anyway, swapping out the ram fixed my problem. I had the Kernel Panic and it would stay on for about 10 minutes before shutting off.
