Power but no output.
When I power it on you can hear it working. Disc spins, fan blows, but there's zero output to my tv. Is there anyway to determine if the problem is the optical drive assembly or the mother board?
Is this a good question?

Julie Henderson, before you do anything else, check your AV cable. Make sure that you have the right cables, connected properly and that your TV is set up properly. No reason to believe just yet that you have a bad drive or motherboard. Start with the simple things and let us know what you find.

I know I'm a girl, but I'm aware of the process of elemination when trying to solve a problem. Of course I checked those obvious things first. Thanks for condescending though!
