Sadly, yes, you damaged the display in the process of removing it.

$@$*. Thanks for your replay.

In the black stripe I have 2 thinner stripes (each one pixel) which has different colors. When I press the display near the camera, the color is changing. A little bit weird.

Where can I buy a new display? I guess this is not cheap. But cheaper than a new iMac

okay .. sorry for disturbing again.

I have found a online retailer. But how can I be sure, that this is really a Display defekt? Can it be also a connector cable issue?

I just want to be sure, before I order a display for 350€ :-/

You're not the first here to have damaged the display in the process of taking it off. These new 'Thin Series' iMacs use a very different way of anchoring the display to chassis body. Using the wrong tools and/or not following the directions were to pry carefully! Will damage it! It's not the cable its not the cables connector its the LDC panel as you broke the fragile contacts in the process of lifting the display off.
