Been dead for ages but now won't turn on.

Hi,

About 4 years ago my screen cracked on my iPod touch Gen 2 (i think it the one with the curved the corners and back) it worked for a while couldn't see what was playing but still was able to play music.

i got a new iPod and put that cracked one away in a drawer. I just found it and want to get the music off it but its completely dead and won't even light up when plugged into the wall.

It doesn't show up on iTunes when plugged into the computer as well. Any ideas how i could at least get the music off it.

Thanks :)

Hadley Belle, since it worked at the time you put it away it is most likely related to a totally discharged battery., You can try and charge it on a wall charger (not your computer) for a while and see if that makes it wake up. If that does not help you will have to change the battery and see if that works. Use theses guides for that. It is a difficult job and will require soldering.
