Hello,
My Macbook stop turning on using appropriate button. When charger is plug in, it start charging (amber led is on). When I'm trying to reset SMC using Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time, charger led is getting green and then amber.
What tests/diagnostics should I perform to find a root cause? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Open it up and check your keyboard connection. There are guides here for that. Otherwise, I think your only other option is replacing the whole top case. It's ridiculously difficult to replace just the keyboard.
