Is the SSD in an iMac Fusion drive an M.2 PCIe SSD?

Hi all,

I'm wondering if I can replace the PCIe SSD(the SSD component in the iMac's Fusion drive) in my iMac Late 2013 with a larger SamsungM.2 PCIe SSD. I believe they are the same connector but I'd rather not fry my logic board.

Thanks,

Adam

Apple has used a few different SSD blade drives in their systems. The Samsung M.2 blade SSD is not compatible!

You'll need to get either the OWC or Transcend SSD units when they offer them. Or, if you can find it a larger Apple SSD but these are costly!
