Part covering charging port is broken

The part that covers the charging port has broken off. How do I protect my phone from dust and water damage? Can I buy a replacement part?

You can definitely buy a replacement part for it. You can find some on eBay. There are a couple of screws on the back if I remember right and it pops off. Very simple and worth it!
