Disk repair is not working Disk verify says that valumes are incorrec
My disk Repair is grayed out. Disk verify says that the volumes and not correct. Does this mean I need a new hard drive?

Are you trying to run Disk Utility from the same drive you're booting from? That can be like working on your car engine while driving down the highway. Boot from an external drive or the original system installation disk. Then run Disk Utilities from it.
