Buttons and calls not working after battery replacement

I replaced my better last night in my iPhone 5s and now none of the physical buttons except the power button work and making a phone call I can't hear anyone and they can't hear me. Voice to text still works but I get no sound. I've repaired quite a few iPhones with no issues, any idea where I went wrong this time?

Answer this question I have this problem too

If the volume and mute buttons stopped working, you most likely damages the flex cable, as it runs along the top of the battery area. You will need to replace the power & volume button flex cable, as it's all one piece.

Not too sure about the sound issue, but if you can test if it works on speakerphone or not, that should help eliminate some possibilities.

Would this explain the home button and touch id not working as well. I tried inspecting that cable for damage and didn't see anything. Anyway for me to verify this?

Make sure to check the socket that the home button plugs in to, as that is near the bottom of the battery and may have picked up damage. The only way to really test it is try another home button flex, or replace the socket part which comes with the dock connector assembly.

So I opened up the phone and just tried massaging the cables and somehow it's all working now. However now the only thing not working is the microphone. Siri can hear me and speaker phone hears me but normal phone call doesn't hear me.
