Hi there,
How long have you have the laptop? Do you have any other symptoms of viruses/malware/adware/etc. on the machine? This is the first thing to check and see if there is something malicious slowing you down.
If not, a few more things you can try:
- Running a program like CCleaner to clear up temporary files and repair registry values to speed up you computer.
- Use MSCONFIG to disable some startup programs to save system resources. Here are some instructions on that.
- Defragment your Hard Drive (not guaranteed to help, but can't hurt either)
Give that a shot and let me know what happens.
