Boot Issue with several Graphics Cards

Let me explain, Mac Pro Early 2008

2x 2,8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon (8 Cores)

32 GB ram DDR2 FB-DIMM 800 MHz

SSD 512GN

ok, I try several video cards, Quadro FX4800, Nvidia Geforce GTX 680, and GTX 285

All cards work perfect, but no video until OS is open, so no white screen with logo or spin.

Mavericks 10.9.5 Installed video cards drivers installed, CUDA Installed.

So my question, why I don't have video in start up until the OS is open, after taht everything working like a champ, maybe you think if everything is ok, why am I worry, well if I want to install again an OS or I need to run some commands Like Commands+S, how can I see that.

BTW I have all updated, EFI firmwarer, etc.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I believe some graphics cards don't have native OS X support, so they don't show anything until the OS loads. Some cards have Mac versions, and some have a dipswitch to tell the card whether it's being used on Mac or Windows.

Where could be that dipswitch?, thanks.

It would be on the graphics card - but not all cards have them.
