I dropped my phone quite hard, but it had a protective case so nothing was broken.
However now everything works except that the screen is green with a grey strip about 5mm wide running down the right hand/Sim card side of the screen.
I guess the screen needs to be replaced and the battery too as its 4 yrs old now.

Barry Williams, it is possible that you have an issue with a dislodge LCD cable, but most likely it's your LCD. Disassemble it, check the connector if it is okay, replace the LCD (and yes to the battery as well) Here is the guide for the repair.
